The booking by members was done online at imakarnal.in and members were delivered specially printed tickets. The speakers were Dr. Sonal Gupta and Dr. Naveen Bhamri from Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. Dr. Sonal Gupta is Director and Head of Neurosurgery while Dr. Naveen Bhamri is Associate Director and HOD Interventional Cardiology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. The topics chosen by them were "Are we over investigating - A Neurosurgical Perspective" and "Challenging Interventions in Cardiology". A few pics of the CME are attached below. A new initiative of IMA Karnal, a monthly digital newsmagazine, was released last week. The inaugural edition was a 4 page affair but behind it was immense work put in by the editorial team of Dr. J. K. Bhutani, Dr. Sanjay Kalra, Dr. D. S. Josan along with the Design editor Dr. Jaikrit Bhutani and Page-3 compiler Sukriti Bhutani. And they did it in a record speed of just 3 days. Future publications would be comprising of 8 pages and more contributions from the members. The intent of the magazine is to connect the medical fraternity, foster brother hood, update medical knowledge and provide wholesome infotainment for the YOUNG and not-so-young! The speakers were Dr. Sunil Parkash and Dr. Chandragauda from BLK Hospital Delhi. Dr. Sunil Parkash is HOD and Director of Nephrology and Renal Transplant at BLK Centre while Dr. Chandragauda is Consultant Medical Oncology at BLK Cancer Centre. First Executive meet of IMA Karnal 2017-18 was held at Alpha City Centre on 13th April 2017. The meeting was well attended and all members participated enthusiastically. Highlights of the meeting 1. It was proposed to strive for a maximum number of CMEs as well as family functions. 2. A large Crisis Committee was formed to tackle today’s reality. The office bearers, Vice Presidents, President Elect, IPP, IPS, Mentors, Advisors and Spokesperson would be deemed members of Crisis Committee. 3. A decision was made to form a Rapid Response Team to tackle emergent crisis situations. 3. Previous year’s financial report was approved and it was decided to submit an ITR return in time. 4.
